Rationale: Impaired consciousness, visual loss, bilateral sensory and motor dysfunction, and pupil abnormalities are seen with basilar artery strokes. Memory problems, visual hallucinations, visual deficits, and hemisensory disturbances occur with posterior cerebral artery strokes. Weakness in the foot and leg, sensory loss in the foot and leg, incontinence, ataxia, and lack of spontaneity occurs with anterior cerebral artery strokes. Ataxia, contralateral facial weakness, contralateral hemiplegia, visual deficits, speech impairments, and perceptual impairments occur with middle cerebral artery strokes.
